Into Troubles - Erasmus Plus

'Into the Troubles' is a six-day training course organized by Il Giardino di Stivecchia, inviting 26 youth workers and young leaders from 10 countries (Armenia, Czech Republic, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia , Spain and Turkey) to enter a space in which to co-create embodied stories about working with the ecological and relational difficulties of our times. We come together to open up and relax into the vulnerability that accompanies being human. We play with exercises and games aimed at loosening our automatic responses and learn together to weave our personal experiences and backgrounds into meaningful shared stories that support us and offer perspectives as we work with disadvantaged youth. Throughout the program, we will open ourselves to our innate ability to truly be in the present, not as a vanishing pivot between terrible or Edenic pasts and apocalyptic or salvific futures, but as human beings woven together in various novel configurations of places, times, issues and meanings. The practices and activities used during the training will be based on corporeal, experiential and ecocentric education and will include: social and image theatre, mindfulness, creative expression, critical response theory and deep listening, myth-making, self-created rituals , exploratory writing.
